Opera’s Unlimited Free VPN Is Now Available For Android

Opera’s Unlimited Free VPN Is Now Available For Android

Opera has finally release its free VPN software to Android today, after integrating its VPN technology into its desktop browser and iOS app earlier in the year.  Opera is providing its service with completely free and unlimited access, which is going to cause headache to a lot of paid VPN out there.

Opera’s VPN is a different app to the company’s web browser, and will apply the new location settings cross your entire device and other apps. The app features a quick button to hide your location, which will default to the nearest supported region. You can also make choices of  your location to a specific region, either Canada, Germany, Netherlands, Singapore, or the United States. The app will not only lock your location but will disable cookies from tracking your data. More regions are apparently on the way.
Opera’s VPN is powered SurfEasy, which the company acquired last year. The app itself is free, but you will find ads tucked away within it. Opera also wants to share anonymous data about your mobile usage and browsing habits with third parties. If you’re concerned, here’s what Opera has to say about the data it collects:

"This information is made available to third parties who are interested in better understanding the mobile ecosystem and how it’s evolving. It’s important to understand that this is not data about what you do with your phone, but rather this is data about how a large group of people use their phones"
If youre comfortable of being spied on for a free VPN, you can download the app for free from the Play Store via the link below.
