Nokia Denied the Plans of Re-entering into Smartphone Market

Earlier this month, Some reports stated that Nokia is planning a comeback in Year 2016. The first report by ReCode which was published on Monday hinted that company is planning for a comeback. Few days later, a post of a Chinese Newspaper showed a statement of Mike Wang, President of Nokia (China) , stating intention of manufacturing phones in the Chinese city Sichuan. “No intention to sell or manufacture handsets” statement by Nokia on its website.

Recent Nokia’s statement doesn’t mention any plan of designing phones in future. The statement mention that there are no plans to come up with any new smartphone. Report from Recode stated that Nokia will license phone design to third part, exactly what Nokia did with N1 tablet, which is designed by Nokia, but Foxconn is manufacturing it. Nokia is bounded by its contract with Microsoft not to release any Nokia Smartphone until 3rd quarter of 2016 . We will keep you updated about this topic .
